Book Club: February 8th
Book Club to discuss two novels.
For February's Book Club, the host has selected Jodi Picoult's Small Great Things and Janice Y.K. Lee's The Expatriates. Read one or both. Each novel deals with the loss of a child and the repercussions thereof, as well as with characters entering and adapting to a different culture, be that racial or geographical.
The local Harvard Club book club, which has been in existence for ten years, meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm for dinner and to discuss a wide-ranging selection of books -- fiction, poetry, biography, history, etc. They always enjoy having other interested people attend and participate.
The Book Club will meet in Davis this month for a potluck dinner at 7:00 pm on February 8th. Please email Barbara Drushell for more information.
