Book Club: March 8th

Book Club to discuss two books.

For March's Book Club, the host has selected  two books by Justice Breyer: "Active Liberty: Interpreting Our Democratic Constitution," and "Making Our Democracy Work." They set forth Breyer's view that, other than with respect to civil liberties, constitutional constraints on federal government domestic powers should be removed by his methods of interpreting the Constitution.

The local Harvard Club book club, which has been in existence for ten years, meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm for dinner and to discuss a wide-ranging selection of books -- fiction, poetry, biography, history, etc. They always enjoy having other interested people attend and participate.

The Book Club will meet  at the Wonderful Chinese Restaurant in Citrus Heights at 6:30 pm on March 8th. Please email Barbara Drushell for more information.
