What's better than a 'Sunday Afternoon in the Park'?  A Sunday afternoon with your Harvard friends at the Crocker Art Museum for the current series of Crocker Classical Concerts!

Let's meet up on Sunday, November 13, 2022, for the 3 p.m. performance by the Elysee Harp Duo.

Harpists Beverly Wesner Hoehn and Kerstin Allvin will perform Saint-Saëns' The Carnival of the Animals as part of Crocker's classical concert series on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

Here's what the Crocker had to say:

Through lighthearted and whimsical stylings, harpists Beverly Wesner Hoehn and Kerstin Allvin lead Musuem visitors through The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns, inspired by the creatures and critters on view throughout the Crocker’s permanent collection. Hoehn and Allvin have been performing together since their time at Indiana University, and their chemistry is palpable. With pieces such as “Hens and Roosters, “The Elephant,” and “The Cuckoo in the Depths of the Woods” featuring poetry by Ogden Nash, this humorous concert is sure to delight!   (See https://my.crockerart.org/classicalconcerts/337).

Purchase your own tickets ($15/Crocker Member; $25/Non-Member; $10/Student).

Please plan to arrive at the Crocker Art Museum, located at 216 O Street in Sacramento, between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m. for a brief introduction among ourselves.  Text Saralyn M. Ang-Olson at (916) 475-6886, once you arrive.  After the concert, depending on interest or availability, some may opt to explore local eateries as a way to extend this Meet-Up!
