New Meeting Schedule for 2012.
The Book Club will kick off the New Year with a new meeting date. The club will now convene on the second Wednesday of each month. First up: January 11, 2012, at the Wonderful Chinese Restaurant in Citrus Heights. The club has chosen The Wandering Falcon by Jamil Ahmad as the book selection for January. This moving novel chronicles the lives of a refugee couple and their son among the tribal peoples of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Copies are available from Amazon in hardcopy and Kindle for prices from $10 to $15. Additional meeting dates through August: February 8, March 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, and August 8.
