Book club meeting

Novel set in Botswana in the 1970s to be discussed

The book club will discuss “White Dog Fell From the Sky” by Eleanor Morse at its September 10 meeting.

This is a novel set in Botswana in the 1970s.  There are two main characters: one is an American woman, and the other is a refugee from South Africa.  As their paths cross, the novel illuminates cultural differences but also a gentle sense of how people are all so similar.
The book is available in paperback on Amazon, and the Sacramento public library also had copies.

Alice Levine, alevineharroun@gmail.com, will host the event, beginning at 6:30, at Cafe Morocco, 1221 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento. RSVP to Alice. She will handle restaurant reservations.
