Cancelled: Crocker Museum Private Tour- April 5th
Featuring Private Tour of Granville Redmond Exhibit
Join your fellow club members on a private tour of the Granville Redmond exhibit on Sunday, April 5th, at 1:00 pm. Redmond is known for his colorful impressionistic oils and is widely considered one of California’s top early artists. This exhibition, the largest ever assembled, and the first in more than 30 years, includes approximately 85 signature paintings.
Granville Redmond (1871–1935) produced a body of work that captures California’s diverse topography, vegetation, and color. Representing both northern and southern parts of the state, his paintings range in style from contemplative, Tonalist works that evoke a quiet calm, to dramatic and colorful Impressionist scenes.
The Crocker Art Museum is located at 216 O Street, Sacramento. The group will congregate at the museum entrance at 12:50 pm. For more information, please contact Merlene Ingraham by texting (617) 991-5531.
