Journeys of Jazz: Krudxs Cubensi | Crocker Art MuseumSummertime Jazz Concert At Crocker

Sacramento’s Crocker Art Museum’s Journeys of Jazz concert series features “Rivers Are Our Brothers,” with Majel Connery and Tim Stanley. Buy your tickets, and meet up with us at the concert!

Wondering how to beat the Sacramento heat? On this fourth Thursday of June, meet up with us to cool down, as we enjoy refreshing rhythms and smooth jazz in the outdoor space of the Crocker Art Museum. According to the Crocker’s notes: “Vocalist Majel Connery and electric cellist Tim Stanley will stop you in your tracks with an electronic song cycle centered on ecological responsibility and told from the point of view of the land. With moving songs that take a first-person view of nature, this performance shows a world that is vibrant, thrilling, and alive.” For more information on the musicians, see https://www.crockerart.org/events/2432/journeys-of-jazz-rivers-are-our-brothers-2432.
The Crocker also notes that this is part of Sacramento's longest-running summer jazz series, offering an innovative lineup of contemporary musicians interpreting and blending jazz influences with their own unique styles. What  an opportunity to “enjoy live music in a loose, easy-going atmosphere in the Crocker's outdoor courtyard.” You may bring a chair, though row seating is plenty. Each concert consists of two 45-minute sets separated by a 15-minute intermission, during which you can stretch your legs with a guided art chat in the galleries, shop in the Museum store, or “grab a bite to eat from Majka at the Crocker.”
