Join Emily C Bloom as she discusses and answers questions about her personal journey and insight into modern motherhood, and explores related science, technology, art and literature.  

She…details the ways in which parenthood
has changed in the social media age, tracing the newest technologies that are supposed to make things easier but somehow make them harder. The result is a thoughtful reflection on the trials and tribulations of modern motherhood (Time—the 100 Must-Read Books of 2024).
 

Her memoir I cannot Control Everything Forever, published by St. Martin’s Press in 2024, was named one of Time’s 100 Must-Read Books of 2024, and a New Yorker Best Book of the Year. Emily Bloom is currently a Mellon Public Humanities Fellow at Sarah Lawrence College.  Her past book The Wireless Past: Anglo-Irish Writers and the BBC won the First Book Prize from the Modernist Studies Association.
