The result is a thoughtful reflection on the trials and tribulations of modern motherhood (Time—the 100 Must-Read Books of 2024).
Her memoir I cannot Control Everything Forever, published by St. Martin’s Press in 2024, was named one of Time’s 100 Must-Read Books of 2024, and a New Yorker Best Book of the Year. Emily Bloom is currently a Mellon Public Humanities Fellow at Sarah Lawrence College. Her past book The Wireless Past: Anglo-Irish Writers and the BBC won the First Book Prize from the Modernist Studies Association.
